Jack Nicklaus Online Golf Tour for Accolade, Inc (now Infogrames) and Kesmai (now EA.com)
Hypnos developed a massively multiplayer golf game capable of hosting 10,000 simultaneous golfers for large scale tournament play over the Internet. Created a custom front-end application, using Anvil, our proprietary rapid interface development tool. This front end interfaces with the Aries/Kesmai proprietary client/server Internet gaming service. Work included development of back end Unix server code. Hypnos engineers made extensive modifications to the existing Jack Nicklaus 4 Windows 95 product to enable tournament play, gallery members, and use of the Aries communication protocols.
